Plum flowers bloom in Wanmu Meiyuan scenic area in Libo county, Guizhou province.

More than 20,000 mu (13.3 square kilometers) of wild plum trees grow in the scenic area. In winter, the blossom scenery of white and red plum flower will last for over one month, attracting tourists and plum lovers from all over the country.

On Jan 14, Libo county will hold the 15th Plum Blossom Festival. The event has become an important brand of winter tourism in Guizhou.

The county has announced travel discounts during the festival, providing free tickets of Small Seven-hole Scenic Area, Maolan Scenic Area and Yaoshan Scenic Area for travel agencies participating in the event.

Tourists who have Chinese character "mei"- which means plum- in their names can also get free tickets into the three scenic areas by showing their ID cards.
