Guizhou NPC deputies and CPPCC members hand in proposals

Guizhou's deputies to the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) and members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee have handed in their proposals at the annual Two Sessions, which are underway in Beijing.

The NPC deputies handed in a total of 17 proposals and 244 suggestions, an increase of 6.3 percent and 4.3 percent respectively compared with last year.

The 17 proposals focus on making or amending relevant laws. Meanwhile, 44 of the suggestions involve deepening judicial system reform and promoting community-level governance, 40 are about poverty alleviation, 54 are about high-quality economic development, and 21 are about the public health service system.

All the proposals and suggestions have been reviewed and forwarded to the relevant committees and departments.

The CPPCC members handed in 100 proposals, 88 of which have been recorded, one merged and 11 forwarded.

Based on previous research and investigations, the proposals cover topics including poverty alleviation, rural revitalization, the New Land-Sea Corridor construction, and big data industry development.

The members also proposed optimizing medical insurance premium policies, exploiting the value of expressway service areas, enhancing the cultivation of agricultural science and technology talents, promoting a well-rounded education, and strengthening the supervision of online takeout food security.
