A signing ceremony for the second quarter investment projects of Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, was held online on June 30.
Guiyang city and Guian New Area signed with 11 companies at the ceremony, including 23 projects in emerging industries such as big data, advanced equipment manufacturing and new materials, totaling a contract value of 8.53 billion yuan ($1.21 billion).
When invested, it is estimated that the projects will add a total industrial output value of 10.2 billion yuan, provide over 4,000 jobs, and contribute to optimizing industrial structures, expanding effective investment, and promoting high-quality economic growth in Guian.
Chen Yan, mayor of Guiyang, said that Guiyang will accelerate integrated development with Guian, and make the area into a city circle with a large economic volume in central Guizhou.
Chen urged the companies to promote the implementation of the projects, and expand cooperation with Guian to boost the construction of an industrial cluster.
Meanwhile, Guian will keep optimizing the business environment and providing targeted services for the companies.
