Guizhou, Huawei agree to develop computing industry

Southwest China's Guizhou province and Huawei Technologies Co signed an agreement to develop the Kunpeng computing industry on Aug 13.

The Kunpeng computing industry provides internet technology infrastructure, applications and services based on Huawei's Kunpeng processor.

According to the agreement, the Kunpeng computing industry will be launched in Guizhou to cultivate a series of upstream and downstream companies, making Guizhou a key area for the Kunpeng computing industry.

Guizhou and Huawei will build and operated a Kunpeng ecology innovation center to showcase Kunpeng's industrial ecology, technologies and achievements, and make it a platform for investment attraction and communication between government, companies and research institutions.

Since 2016, Guizhou and Huawei have achieved great success in cloud computing, big data application, the internet of things and smart manufacturing, intelligent and safe city development, education and training, software development, intelligent terminal production bases and data centers.

Based on previous cooperation, both sides will further communicate and effectively implement the Kunpeng computing industry project.
