On the first day of the 10th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo, which was held from Sept 9 to 13 in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, an online service platform for Maotai-flavor baijiu was unveiled.

When launched, the platform will boast over 2,000 spirit companies. It will also help promote structural reform on the supply side of the Maotai-flavor baijiu industry in Guizhou's Renhuai city and make the city a core production base for Maotai-flavor baijiu.

Co-built by China Construction Bank's Guizhou branch, Renhuai's government and Renhuai Liquor Investment Co, the platform will provide certification, evaluation, warehousing, consumption, settlement, financing and management services.

It will elevate Renhuai's Maotai-flavor baijiu standards to become production-level standards, realize the intelligent management of logistics, finance and information, and provide support for the baijiu industrial chain.

In the two to three years following the platform's launch, it will manage the warehousing of at least 100,000 kiloliters of base liquor and support over 1,000 market entities related to Maotai-flavor baijiu.

In the meantime, China Construction Bank's Guizhou branch will provide over 3 billion yuan ($439.26 million) of financial support, including 1.5 billion yuan of inclusive financing.

To address the long production cycle of Maotai-flavor baijiu, the bank will also supply various innovative financial products to support the sustainable development of the baijiu industry.
