Intl alcohol expo closes 24.58b yuan in deals

The 10th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo wrapped up on Sept 13 and statistics showed that it attracted 52,738 visitors, with an additional 13.14 million online visits.

According to the organizers, the event -- which was staged in Guiyang city, Guizhou province, in southwestern China -- saw deals struck worth a total of 24.58 billion yuan ($3.6 billion).

Of that, 41 projects were signed at the expo involving 17.57 billion yuan, while there were 3.30 billion yuan of online transactions and 3.71 billion yuan worth of offline transactions.

This year's expo attracted 1,184 domestic and international liquor-related companies to attend online.

The online exhibition presented imported alcohol, baijiu, wine, beer, fruit and rice wine, healthcare liquor and other tipples.

Meanwhile, the offline exhibition set up five exhibition areas for different varieties of liquor, as well as the liquor-related materials, technologies, equipment and products.

The expo observed strict novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control measures for the safety of all.
