Guizhou joins Sino-German economic cooperation meeting

Southwest China's Guizhou province joined the annual Sino-German economic cooperation dialogue on Nov 24, which was held as a video meeting. The dialogue will last for a week.

The dialogue is co-held by the China Economic Cooperation Center and Rudolf Scharping Strategy Consulting Communication Co, aiming to promote China and Germany's participation in the Belt and Road Initiative and realize mutual development.

During previous dialogues, Chinese ambassador to Germany, as well as government officials, representatives of companies, research institutions and universities from China and Germany attended to share their ideas on Sino-German cooperation.

The dialogue has become an efficient platform for Chinese and German companies to seek cooperation opportunities.

Before the dialogue, Chen Li, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province, introduced Guizhou's efforts to enhance opening-up by relying on foreign affairs.

Guizhou has joined the dialogue since 2017 to allow international cooperation to boost Guizhou's local development.

The dialogue will cover the Sino-German relationship during the post-pandemic era, financial development and the digital economy, environmental protection and clean energy, and cooperation on higher vocation education.

Officials from Guizhou's government departments and representatives of the province's universities and companies will join the discussion and seek cooperation with German cities and companies.
