Guizhou launches service campaign for tech companies

Southwest China's Guizhou province officially launched a technology service campaign for 3,441 enterprises on April 1 to further encourage enterprises to develop innovative technologies.

The campaign will cover Guizhou's high-tech companies, small- and medium-sized technological enterprises and key enterprises related to 10 major industries, 12 featured agricultural industries and the service innovation sector.

The campaign will last until Nov 30.

Guizhou's department of science and technology will complete first-round visits to all the involved enterprises in the second quarter of this year. In the third quarter, authorities will conduct one-on-one visits to key enterprises to screen their needs.

In the fourth quarter of this year, the department will summarize the collected technical demands, which will be included in the application guide of 2023 technology development plan.

The department of science and technology will survey the technological innovation situation of deep-processing related to agricultural products, aluminum, phosphorus, manganese and titanium. It will also examine the major commercialization projects of scientific and technological achievements, as well as major technology industry projects related to intelligent wine making, intelligent construction and public big data.

Meanwhile, the department will release its policy interpretation of technological innovations, tax deductions for R&D costs and the application of high-tech companies. It will also screen the in-demand technologies of 32 industries and include them in the annual technology development plan.

Since 2016, Guizhou's department of science and technology has visited 2,305 technological enterprises and collected 1,111 technical demands to provide references for policy making and encourage researchers to tackle key technological problems.
