Intl alcoholic beverages expo seals deals worth 8.1b yuan

The 11th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo came to a close in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Nov 12, sealing deals worth 8.16 billion yuan ($1.15 billion).

This year was the first time that the expo was held both online and on-site, with various activities being held, such as an exhibition, forum, award ceremony, news release, contract signing, and coordination of supplying and purchasing.

The expo had seven online exhibition areas and eight on-site exhibition halls. The online exhibition included 1,874 companies, of which were 445 overseas companies.

The on-site exhibition halls covered a total floor area of 86,600 square meters and featured 2,687 exhibition booths. A total of 1,163 companies attended the exhibition of more than 22,000 exhibits.

Through previous business negotiations, the expo saw cooperation agreements for 66 investment attraction projects signed with a total investment of 47.55 billion yuan. It also witnessed the signing of 38 wine trading project agreements with a total trading value of 2.53 billion yuan.

At the expo's opening ceremony, 30 projects were signed into effect, including 20 investment attraction projects with a signed contract amount of 22.84 billion yuan and 10 trading projects with a signed contract amount of 838 million yuan.

During the expo, 5.6-billion-yuan-worth of transactions were closed online and 2.56-billion-yuan-worth of transactions were closed on-site.

The China (Guiyang) International Alcoholic Beverages Exhibition City project was launched on Nov 9, during the expo. The exhibition city will gather Guizhou Maotai-flavored alcohol, famous Chinese alcohol, world-famous alcohol brands, upstream and downstream supply chain brands, and industry-related enterprises.
