The Guiyang City and Guian New Area "Four Cities" Collaborative Series of Events for Technological Achievement Promotion and Technological Needs Matching was held at the Science and Technology Park of Guizhou University on Sept 20.

The matchmaking event was guided by Guizhou University and the Guiyang municipal bureau of science and technology and organized by the Institute of Science and Technology of Guizhou University and Guiyang Productivity Promotion Center.

Its aim was to further implement the "Four Cities" innovation-driven development strategy, enhance exchange and cooperation between universities, research institutes, and enterprises, and facilitate the integration of technological achievements from universities and research institutes with the needs of businesses.

The event was participated in by 36 technology-oriented enterprises. Based on preliminary research into the needs of enterprises, a number of outstanding representatives from different fields of expertise and expert scholars were invited to engage in in-depth discussions and exchanges with enterprises on-site.

At the promotional event, some leading technological achievements from the 2023 China International Big Data Expo were introduced. The Guiyang Information Technology Research Institute presented its achievements, Guizhou Zhongke Tongchuang Technology Co introduced its superconducting high-end electromagnetic detection project, and the Intellectual Property Public Service Platform for Guizhou provided an overview of the platform.

As demand-side participants, some of the attending companies conducted project presentations on their requirements or reported on their technological bottleneck issues. Research institutes and experts at the event were encouraged to offer solutions to these requirements.

The event served as a platform for both the supply and demand sides to interact, expanding and deepening cooperation and accelerating the commercialization of technological achievements.
