A "3+3" political consultative conference was held in Duyun, capital of Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture in Guizhou province, on Sept 25.

The conference involved Kunming, Nanning, and Guiyang, the capitals of Yunnan province, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and Guizhou province, respectively. Representatives from Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous prefecture in Yunnan, Guilin in Guangxi, and Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture in Guizhou also participated in the event.

During the conference, member units reached an accord known as the "Qiannan Consensus."  The main objectives of this accord are to accelerate the integrated development of the tourism industry in the Yunnan-Guangxi-Guizhou region from six aspects. Together, they aim to create a cultural and ecological tourism belt and an international tourism destination cluster. This was done in order to promote high-quality socio-economic development.

In terms of resource sharing, the six regions will uphold the principles of "complementarity, interaction, sharing, and mutual benefit." They will effectively integrate regional advantages such as natural ecology, ethnic culture, and astronomy popularization, which will result in the creation of cross-regional international tourism destination clusters and high-quality tourist routes. Through this plan, all parties will promote a collective appeal and each region will showcase its unique beauty. This approach aims to enhance the competitiveness of the Yunnan-Guangxi-Guizhou tourism industry.

Regarding brand co-creation, the six regions will jointly establish and nurture the Yunnan-Guangxi-Guizhou brand, national culture, and ecological tourism.

In terms of market co-construction, the six regions will jointly establish a high-end tourism e-commerce network service platform with comprehensive functions such as regional image promotion, information consultation, policy dissemination, and agency bookings. They will work together to advance the integrated development of the regional tourism market, aiming to achieve the goal of "jointly promoting products, co-constructing the market, and mutually sharing customer sources."

In terms of co-organizing activities, the six regions will jointly plan the "Yunnan-Guangxi-Guizhou Ethnic Culture and Ecotourism Season," which will release high-quality routes, preferential policies, and distinctive activities as part of this initiative. Each year, a city or prefecture will host the season, creating a unique tourism intellectual property (IP) and expanding its promotional impact.

In terms of collaborative promotion, the six regions will focus on conducting joint research on high-quality regional tourism development, and generate joint proposals for submission to the national two sessions. This effort aims to unify and empower the Yunnan-Guangxi-Guizhou tourism industry, priming it to make new industry breakthroughs.

In terms of win-win cooperation, the six regions will establish new cooperation mechanisms, create new cooperation platforms, shape a new pattern of cooperation, and generate new cooperation dynamics. Through mutual benefit and cooperation, they will work hard to create a new frontier for the high-quality development of the Yunnan-Guangxi-Guizhou tourism industry.
