The 14th Guiyang International Auto Show kicked off on Apr 11 at the Guiyang International Conference and Exhibition Center in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, and will last until April 15.

Over 100 automobile companies participated in the event, bringing nearly 80 mainstream automobile brands, with a variety of categories including fuel vehicles, new energy vehicles (NEV), recreational vehicles (RV), second-hand cars and motorcycles.

A staff member at the event said that this year, the proportion of NEVs at the Guiyang International Auto Show has increased from 27 percent to 39 percent, and the show has been extended by an hour to give consumers more time to choose their cars.

The exhibition also allows consumers to consult the detailed information about vehicles and a discount by directly engaging with manufacturers, and consumers can enjoy policy benefits and manufacturers' subsidies if purchasing NEVs during the event.

Moreover, there are many other perks, such as customers who buy cars in installments can obtain a gas card or electric card worth 1,888 yuan ($260).

At the site, several automotive-themed cultural activities are being launched to showcase the charm of car culture, contributing to creating a nationally influential automobile exhibition platform.
