Guiyang tourism booms during Qingming holiday

During the three-day Qingming Festival holiday, the three train stations of Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province served 683,000 passengers, a record high during the period. Tourism-related bookings in Guiyang increased by over 80 percent compared to the previous year, and the number of tickets ordered for scenic spots skyrocketed by 160 percent.

According to statistics, the top five most popular scenic spots in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area were Qianlingshan Park, Qingyan Ancient Town, Huaxi Wetland Park, Hebin Park and Shiguang Guizhou Scenic Area.

Qianlingshan Park in Yunyan district was popular among visitors for its beautiful spring views and various animals such as pandas and macaques. During the period, Yunyan received 829,700 visits, more than any other district or county in the city.

In terms of the tourism revenue generated during the period, Nanming district ranked first in the city with 677 million yuan ($93.49 million). It ranked second in terms of number of tourists, following closely behind Yunyan district.
