Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province plan to launch over 500 cultural, sports, and tourism activities for the upcoming May Day holiday on May 1-5.

The activities will feature a variety of distinctive performances, exhibitions, a walking tour, and mountain activities. There will be over 50 performances alone, including dance dramas, Yueju operas, science dramas, and child plays, during the holiday. The upgraded roadside concert will also be held at Zhucheng Square from April 30 to May 4.

To attract more young visitors, a guide of the best places to walk and eat has been released, and various mountain activities such as hiking, camping, paddle boarding, and cave exploring will also be on offer.

Meanwhile, agricultural tourism, tea tourism, and rafting will be available, allowing people to fully experience the unique charm of Guiyang.
