Xiuwen Wildlife Park is located at the intersection of Guiyang-Zunyi Expressway and Guiyang-Bijie Expressway, 35 kilometers away from Guiyang. It is one of the key forest eco-tourism projects developed by the Guiyang government, as well as one of the projects in Guizhou’s provincial Jingyang forest park's planning area.

It covers an area of over 5,000 mu (333.33 hectares), with over 2,000 animals of about 200 species, and is a national 4A-level scenic spot. It started operation in 2006 with a tour route of 4.5 kilometers, and is equipped with 23 environmentally friendly sightseeing buses.

In 2013, the park upgraded the leopard hall, hippopotamus hall, and elephant breeding bases, transformed the giraffe hall and elephant hall, as well as added 800 meters on its tour route.

By introducing Asian elephants, hippopotamuses, giant pandas, Francois leaf monkeys, gibbons, golden monkeys, South China tigers, and red-crowned cranes from all over the world, the park has become the largest wildlife park with the most variety of wild animals in Guizhou.

It boasts wildlife and forest landscapes, providing sightseeing, recreation, and entertainment for the public with the functions of ex-situ conservation of wildlife, science popularization and education, animal breeding, as well as scientific research.

The park has natural landscapes of forests, stone forests, and karst caves. Its convenient transportation and pleasant climate makes it the best natural oxygen bar for traveling.
