At Qianlingshan Park, in Guiyang city in Southwest China's Guizhou province, there were joyous faces and toasts all round on Aug 30 to celebrate the birthdays of 11-year-old giant panda Haibang and 8-year-old giant panda Xingbao.

Both August babies, Xingbao was born in Madrid, Spain, on Aug 30 in 2013, while Haibang was born in Wakayama, Japan on Aug 11, 2010.

It is the fourth time that the giant pandas have celebrated their birthdays in Guiyang after coming there from overseas. Their fans from Hong Kong, Japan and Spain made videos and sent birthday cards to wish them a happy birthday and good health.

During the past four years, the two have enjoyed a delightful life under the park's good care and amid Guiyang's excellent natural environment.

At the park's panda house, balloons and a cake made of ice, grapes, apples and carrots were prepared for the honored residents.

Since coming to Guiyang, Haibang and Xingbao have helped promote Guiyang's biodiversity protection and attracted international attention to Guizhou's environment and beautiful natural scenery.
