Ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, which will fall on Sept 19-21 and Oct 1-7 this year, Southwest China's Guizhou province recently updated its COVID-19 prevention and control tips.

Everybody should avoid travel to other countries and areas of medium and high risk and learn about the pandemic prevention and control policies of their travel destinations.

Tourists should apply hand sanitizer, have their temperatures taken, and present their health and travel QR codes during travel. They must also wear face masks, wash their hands frequently, practice social distancing, and avoid crowds to avoid infection.

During autumn and winter, which are high-incidence seasons for respiratory infectious diseases, everybody should receive flu, pneumonia, and COVID-19 vaccines as soon as possible.

When traveling, tourists are encouraged to keep records of their travel information, such as time and seats when using public transportation, names and addresses of restaurants and hotels, and names and contacts of companions in case of a breakout.

All tourists should monitor their health closely during and after travel. If fever, cough, throat pain, hyposmia, or hypogeusia occur, please visit the nearest medical institution with a fever clinic and undergo nucleic acid testing immediately. When traveling to a medical institution, please wear masks, avoid public transportation, and inform medical personnel of your travel and contact history.

If your travel destination has COVID-19 cases, please protect yourself and cooperate with local pandemic prevention and control departments.
