A summer camp that is part of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, which is currently underway in Guizhou, is being held in Southwest China's Guizhou province from July 21 to 27. It has attracted 19 youths from ASEAN countries.

The 19 participants were previous contestants of the Chinese Bridge, a Chinese proficiency competition for foreigners organized by the Confucius Institute Headquarters.

According to one of the participants from Indonesia, who went to Guizhou for the first time, the camp unveiled a more beautiful Guizhou than she imagined, as well as people from different ethnic groups getting along with each other.

She added that learning Chinese is not only her hobby, but also equips her with the skill that has brought her a job in a Chinese enterprise in Jambi province, Indonesia.

With the increasing influence of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, more and more foreign students have come to Guizhou and learned about the province. "There were many difficulties at the beginning of learning Chinese, but later I can feel the charm of Chinese culture and gain more opportunities. I hope to come to Guizhou again for further study," said a sophomore from Tunku Abdul Rahman University in Malaysia.
