Southwest China's Guizhou province recently issued a notice announcing reductions to the fees for nucleic acid testing, with the adjustment taking effect from Sept 10.

All disease control and prevention testing institutions and medical institutions have been instructed to charge no more than 55 yuan ($8.52) for nucleic acid testing.

What's more, the fee for mixed sample nucleic acid testing for 10 people should be no more than 10 yuan per person.

Testing institutions and medical institutions are required to post public notices on nucleic acid testing items, standards and the information hotline of 12315.

Any price increases or extra charges are expressly forbidden.

Third-party testing institutions are required to charge nucleic acid testing fees according to operation costs, as well as market supply and demand, and to make them public.
