A report on China's county-level tourism competitiveness in 2021 was released in the national capital city of Beijing on Nov 2 and the southwestern province of Guizhou reportedly did very well.
The report listed its Chishui, Xingyi and Kaili cities and the counties of Libo, Zhenyuan, Dafang and Jiangkou among China's top 100 counties and cities for county-level tourism competitiveness.
To top it off, Guizhou's Xiuwen county, Xishui county, Zhijin county, Duyun city, Shiqian county, Suiyang county, Renhuai city and Zhenning county were listed among China's top counties and cities for their county-level tourism development potential.
The list of county-level tourism competitiveness considered county-level tourism resources, tourism economy activity, tourism facilities, the ecological system and environment, government efforts and tourism brands.
The list of county-level tourism development potential evaluated the potential for tourism resource development, market expansion, infrastructure support and government promotion among the counties.
