The China Chamber of Tourism hosted a promotional event for the high-quality development of Bijie's cultural and tourism industry in Zhijin county, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on March 14.

During the event, Pansy Ho Chiu-king, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, vice-chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and chairman of Shun Tak Holdings, was appointed as the cultural and tourism ambassador for Bijie.

At the event, Ho not only praised Bijie’s beautiful mountains and rivers, but also shared her vision to combine the original cultural intellectual property of Hong Kong and Macao with Bijie, creating rich cultural tours.

The previous night, Ho appeared on the streets in Bijie, where she ate authentic local food. She also visited an exhibition of intangible cultural and creative products such as wax printing and Miao embroidery, witnessing the production process of wax printing and trying on ethnic clothing.

In recent years, leveraging cooperation between China's eastern and western regions, high-quality agricultural and special products from Bijie have been continuously introduced into the Greater Bay Area.

In previous interviews, Ho has expressed her desire to explore more innovative models of integrating cultural and tourism development, uncover unique cultural characteristics, and contribute to the sustainable development of the regional economy.
