Guizhou has most World Heritage Sites in China

Located in Tongren city, Fanjing Mountain has a rare subtropical ecosystem and is teeming with wildlife. It became China's 53rd and Guizhou's 4th World Heritage Site in July 2018.

Guizhou is currently preparing to apply for World Heritage Site status for the Triassic period dinosaur ortyctocoenosis in Guanling Bouyei and Miao autonomous county, Xingyi city and Panzhou city.

An application to make the Huangguoshu Waterfall in Anshun city a World Cultural Landscape is also currently ongoing.
