Guizhou's proposals and suggestions at 2019 NPC handled

With the annual session of the National People's Congress set to be held on May 22, it's been confirmed that the 16 proposals and 234 suggestions submitted by Guizhou's deputies at last year's NPC were all handled.

The NPC Standing Committee attached great importance to the 16 proposals, and consequently conducted investigations in Guizhou. In addition, the 234 suggestions on infrastructure construction, poverty alleviation and environmental protection all received responses.

Zuo Wenxue, deputy to the NPC and secretary of the Party general branch of Tangyue village in Anshun city, handed in a suggestion on replacing chemical fertilizer with organic fertilizer and received a response from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

In 2019, the ministry chose 175 key counties across the country as demonstration areas to use organic fertilizer instead of chemical fertilizer, and to build various high-quality green product production bases, including in Guizhou's Shiqian, Danzhai and Puan counties.

Over 10,000 mu (666.67 hectares) of white tea planting using organic fertilizer are currently being monitored in Puan.

This year, Guizhou's deputies to the NPC will give more suggestions on follow-up work in areas like poverty alleviation, high-quality economic development and rural revitalization based on in-depth research.
