Transactions worth $165.27m reached at Guiyang online trade fair

The 2020 Guiyang Import and Export Online Fair, which concluded on June 28 in Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – saw the reaching transactions worth more than 1.17 billion yuan ($165.27 million), according to the organizers.

The fair attracted the participation of 2,001 exhibitors, of whom 1,568 were domestic exhibitors and 433 foreign exhibitors – mainly from 28 countries and regions including Japan, France, Australia, Egypt and Italy.

A total of 20,080 products were exhibited at the online fair, including 14,056 domestic products and 6,024 foreign products.

Meanwhile, 2,762 trade buyers signed up to participate in the event, including representatives from 1,876 Chinese procurement companies and 886 foreign procurement companies – the latter from 52 countries and regions from Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, South America and Oceania.

During the three-day event, the bulk trade merchandise was viewed more than one million times and online live broadcasts recorded 2.44 million visits.

According to preliminary statistics, the total transaction volume of the fair was about 1.17 billion yuan and the online transaction volume was about 123 million yuan.

Of these, the bulk trade totaled 119 million yuan and the sales of the fair’s five on-line and off-line channels totaled 4.09 million yuan.

Officials said that in order to cope with the growth of sales and buying power during the fair, a total of 37,184 shopping vouchers were issued in Nanming, Yunyan and Baiyun districts and in the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone.
