A new air route linking Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, and Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, will launch on Sept 3.

The route is the first international air route opened at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport since the epidemic began and the first international air route operated by Juneyao Air in Guizhou.

Every Thursday, the flight will depart from Guiyang at 11:55 am and arrive at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport at 2 pm, local time. The return flight will depart from Bangkok at 3:30 pm and arrive in Guiyang at 7:30 pm, local time.

Guizhou Airports Group Co attaches great importance to the new air route and has held discussions with the province's epidemic prevention and control team to ensure the flights' safety.

Meanwhile, the company is continuously communicating with customs, frontier inspection and port offices to clarify the flight security procedures, epidemic prevention and control measures and other information.

Guiyang's airport has also adjusted the entry and exit area for passengers to include a test waiting area, an epidemiology survey area and an area for passengers who have been sampled.
