Renhe Yi and Miao autonomous township in Baili Azalea Nature Reserve, a national 5A-level scenic spot in Southwest China's Guizhou province, held its first rape flower festival on March 12.

The festival was part of the reserve's activities during the azalea season and marked the start of Renhe township's development of the rural tourism industry.

The festival showcased countryside-themed photography, calligraphy and paintings. It also invited members of painting and calligraphy associations to create free paintings and calligraphy works for tourists.

Visitors also enjoyed dancing and singing performances at the event.

Renhe township hoped to showcase Baili Azalea Nature Reserve's tourism resources at the festival, which include sightseeing opportunities, health preservation, vacation experiences and its cool climate.

Through the festival, Renhe township also aimed to boost rural revitalization.
