Intl representatives impressed by Guizhou's rural development

A delegation of eight ambassadors to China and representatives from international organizations recently visited Southwest China's Guizhou province to learn about the province's development of a rural ecological civilization and cultural landmarks related to CPC history.

The delegation visited the Guizhou Big Data Exhibition Center, the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST), the Zunyi Conference site, the Gouba Conference site, and more.

Marc Hubsch, ambassador of Luxembourg to China, said the development of China's big data industry has reached a new level when visiting the Guizhou Big Data Exhibition Center.

Hubsch said that Luxembourg is also trying to build high-security data centers and looks forward to cooperating with Guizhou on data security and data for the convenience of the people.

Gafar Karar Ahmed, ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to China, said that he visited Guizhou 10 years ago and that it has since been completely transformed. The complete infrastructure, newly-built schools and hospitals, and more employees from other provinces prove that Guizhou has achieved great success in poverty alleviation and rural governance.

He also said that Sudan can learn from China's different approaches to poverty alleviation and economic development.

Rafael Dezcallar, ambassador of Spain to China, said he thinks that Guizhou has proposed innovative solutions to environmental governance and green development, and has achieved remarkable results.

Spain, he said, which is also actively working to tackle climate change, hopes to carry out cooperation with Guizhou in clean energy, sewage treatment, and waste disposal.
