Geological Museum of Guizhou opens free of charge

The Geological Museum of Guizhou – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – reportedly opened to the public, free of charge on Aug 14.

The museum is located at the junction of Yuntan South Road and Xingzhu West Road in Guiyang's Guanshanhu district, with a total floor space of more than 40,000 square meters.

Its exhibition area covers about 16,000 sq m, including more than 100,000 pieces of paleontological fossils, mineral crystals, rock samples and more.

Visitors can make an appointment on the museum's official WeChat account with their ID cards or passports, seven days in advance. Those under 14 years old should visit the museum with guardians.

Visitors are requested to be prompt. An appointment will expire 15 minutes after the appointment time and accounts with three expired appointments will be banned for 90 days.

Visitors can enter the museum with their ID cards or QR codes of appointments. They should wear masks, show their health QR code and get their body temperature measured.

The museum is 100 meters from Xingzhu West Road bus station or the Olympic Sports Center bus station and 800 meters from the Xingzhu Road station of Metro Line 2.
