During the first 11 months of this year, the total foreign trade value of Southwest China's Guizhou province hit 67.66 billion yuan ($9.71 billion), which increased by 18.9 percent from 2021.

Guizhou's export value was 43.49 billion yuan, which was a year-on-year increase of 1.3 percent. Its import value was 24.17 billion yuan, an increase of 72.7 percent. Both growth rates are higher than the national average.

Guiyang's foreign trade scale alone accounted for more than 70 percent of the provincial total and ranked first in the province, followed by Zunyi city, Tongren city, and Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture.

From January to November, the total import and export value of Guiyang was 51.6 billion yuan, which increased by 14.3 percent year-on-year.

The growth rate of bonded logistics and the processing trade remained high. During the first 11 months of this year, Guizhou's import and export value for the processing trade was 14.91 billion yuan, and the import and export value of bonded logistics was 7.82 billion yuan. These indicated an increase of 49.7 percent and 188.6 percent from the previous year, respectively.

From January to November, the foreign trade value of Guizhou's private companies was 42.92 billion yuan, which increased by 31 percent year-on-year and accounted for 63.4 percent of the provincial total. This is a clear indicator of the development of private companies.

In the same period, the foreign trade value of State-owned companies was 21.82 billion yuan with a year-on-year increase of 2.7 percent. The foreign trade value of foreign-invested companies reached 2.9 billion yuan with an increase of 1.3 percent.
