Standing Committee of the 14th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress elected

The first plenary of the 14th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress held its third full session in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Jan 17.

The attending members elected the chairman and vice-chairmen of the Standing Committee of the 14th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress through a secret ballot.

Xu Lin is a member of the 20th CPC Central Committee, the secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, and the chairman of the Standing Committee of the 14th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress.

Xu Lin, the recently elected chairman, is from the Han ethnic group. He was born in June 1963 in Shanghai. Xu is a master of business administration and a Party member. He currently serves as a member of the 20th CPC Central Committee, the secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, and the chairman of the Standing Committee of the 14th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress.

The vice-chairmen of the Standing Committee of the 14th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress are Tao Changhai, Wang Shijie, Guo Ruimin, Sang Weiliang, Wang Zhong, Yang Yongying and Li Yugui.

In addition, Li Sanqi was elected as the secretary-general of the Standing Committee of the 14th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress.
