UK-Guizhou talents exchange fair held in Oxford

A talent exchange fair was held in Oxford, England on Tuesday, aiming to attract high-end talents studying at the city's prestigious university to Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The event, organized by the Department of Education of the provincial government of Guizhou, introduced the province's latest talent policies and its development priorities.

Lu Yongzheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China Guizhou Provincial Committee and secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Education Commission, expressed hope for cooperation with overseas universities in talent introduction, as the United Kingdom is a major international breeding ground for outstanding talents in many fields.

He encouraged talented people to come to Guizhou, choose Guizhou, and settle in Guizhou, bringing advanced knowledge, cutting-edge technologies, and innovative projects to the province, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship of exchange and cooperation.

During the talent exchange fair, Guizhou University and Oxford Suzhou Centre for Advanced Research signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in technological research and training programs.

A cooperation center, co-established by the Oxford Chinese Students and Scholars Association, Guizhou University, and the Guizhou-based GoldenKeys High-tech Materials Co Ltd, was also launched at the event.

The talent exchange fair concluded the two-day visit of Guizhou's education delegation to the UK.

According to the Department of Education of the provincial government of Guizhou, the visit had positive results, with a total of 11 cooperation agreements being signed between universities in Guizhou and their British counterparts.
