As the highly anticipated blockbuster Ne Zha 2 hit the screens, Yuejie Cinema in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has become a magnet for moviegoers. Tickets are selling out quickly, with audiences from across the country eager to experience what is touted as the best cinema screen in China.
With a screen measuring 32.16 meters wide and 18.17 meters high, Yuejie Cinema has the widest IMAX-GT screen in Asia and one of only six IMAX-GT movie halls in China. From Feb 17 to 21, it dominated the national single-day box office rankings for five consecutive days.
The cinema's movie hall, which accommodates 714 seats, is designed to provide an optimal viewing angle of over 120 degrees from every seat. It is equipped with a custom-built IMAX laser system incorporating the latest 4K laser projection technology, a state-of-the-art optical engine, and a suite of IMAX proprietary technologies.
This advanced system delivers higher resolution, sharper and brighter images, stronger contrast, and more vivid, vibrant colors, all showcased on the expansive IMAX-GT screen.
