Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province are welcoming the blossoming of spring with their annual flower-viewing season.

Guiyang and Gui'an have 89 prime flower-viewing locations, with six major sites boasting flower fields that span over 10,000 mu (667 hectares) each. The displays include plum, cherry, peach, and pear blossoms, rapeseed flowers, tulips, daffodils, wisteria, daisies, and hydrangeas. The blooming period lasts from February to May.

Some truly spectacular locations are among the renowned flower-viewing spots. Gui'an Cherry Blossom Park, the largest in the world, promises a sea of pink and white petals, whereas Huaxi's Shili Hetan Scenic Area offers an idyllic setting for nature lovers.

Adorned with tulips, Yangchang Huahua Town in Wudang transforms into a colorful canvas. Yongle township in Nanming boasts tens of thousands of peach blossoms, and Hefeng township in Kaiyang is known for its rapeseed flowers.

Planned activities include roadside music concerts, flower-viewing photography competitions, themed weekends, and inaugural road trips.

For those who enjoy a more active experience, there will be flower-viewing hikes and a cherry blossom marathon. Influencers will be invited to promote the event, amplifying the message that Guiyang is the premier destination for springtime flower viewing.
