Guizhou's local opera, Qian Opera, originated from Qianxi. Qianxi is regarded home twon of Qian Opera. In 1952, a Wenqin troop was founded in Qianxi. In 1960, the opera was performed in Beijing and received audiences' appraisal.
It is rare for counties to have parks and it is remarkable that as early as 1930,a county level park was built in Qianxi. At the center of the park is Guanyin Pavillion.
This is a marvelous wonderland in which clean water, the blue sky, white cloud, green mountains,birds and forests are perfectly integrated into an enchanting picture. The Wujiang River cut through mountains and open roads and forms a large cayon.
On the east side of Wumeng Mountains, streching for thousands of miles, and along the Wujiang River, the largest river in Guizhou, there is a historically important town, known as the gateway of Shuixi.
The southwest province's tourism development conference is turning seven years old this year, and fans from around the world are lining en mass to see the dashing azalea. Dedicated villagers have spent months preparing the annual conference.
