Guiyang to build Guian New Area into global big data hub


Guian New Area, a national-level new urban area in Southwest China's Guizhou province, plans to build itself into one of the largest big data clusters globally over the next few years as part of its broad push to develop new infrastructure to stoke a fresh growth engine for the region, a local official said.

According to a business environment assessment report conducted by Xiamen University and the Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, the business environment of Southwest China's Guizhou province in 2019 has improved significantly compared with 2018.

The southwestern Chinese mountainous province of Guizhou continued to report one of the fastest economic growth rates nationwide last year.




Several traffic circles will be realized to connect Guizhou to other cities. A two-hour traffic circle will connect it to Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming and Changsha. A four-hour traffic circle will connect it to Wuhan, Guangzhou and Xi'an. A six-hour traffic circle will connect it to Shanghai.


Resource advantages


The bauxite reserves in Guizhou amount to 5.9 million tons, ranking fourth in the whole country. Phosphorus ore reserves in Guizhou amount to 3.29 billion tons, ranking third in the whole country. The manganese ore reserves in Guizhou amount to 9.8 million tons.
