About 300 members of the Communist Youth League and the League of Young Pioneers joined a commemorative activity held in Zunyi Red Army Martyrs Memorial Park, Southwest China's Guizhou province to mark the centenary of the May Fourth Movement on April 28.

During the activity, 50 new members of the Communist Youth League took an oath and were issued their membership cards. In addition, young teachers and representatives of the Communist Youth League told stories and gave speeches about the May Fourth Movement.

The May Fourth Movement took place in 1919 and is considered a great patriotic and revolutionary campaign against imperialism and feudalism. The activity is expected to pass on the spirit of the movement and appeal to the youth to contribute to the development of Guizhou.
