Key nodes to enhance SW China's network construction

A root server mirror node and a national top-level domain node were put into operation in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province on Dec 11, making Guizhou the first one to process root a server mirror node in Southwest China.

According to the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), China has 13 root server mirror nodes and 31 national top-level domain nodes, 18 of which are located in China.

Considered as important infrastructure of the internet, the nodes will improve Guizhou's internet architecture and domain names' resolution speed, security monitoring, and emergency support.

Since being established in 2014, Guian New Area has attracted internet giants such as Huawei, Tencent, Apple, Foxconn, and Inspur with environmental and policy advantages.

The operation of the two nodes is expected to guarantee China's internet security and stable operation, as well as enhance Guian's advantages in information technology and digital economy.
