Central government-owned companies invest huge in Guizhou

A total of 226 projects worth 445.36 billion yuan ($67.97 billion) and 21 cooperation agreements were signed between Southwest China's Guizhou province and various central government-owned companies at an investment attraction event on Dec 11 in Guiyang.

Since the beginning of this year, Guizhou has been devoted to attracting investment from central government-owned companies and optimizing business investments to implement projects.

The projects signed this time involved manufacturing, agriculture, modern services, new infrastructure, city construction, new energy and environmental protection. Among them, manufacturing projects accounted for the most, with 36.76 billion yuan of investment.

Guiyang city and Guian New Area signed 51 projects – the most projects of any area, followed by Zunyi, Liupanshui, Anshun, Bijie and Tongren cities, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture and Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture.
