Big data boosts Guizhou's high-quality development

According to the provincial big data bureau, Southwest China's Guizhou province achieved 50.66 billion yuan ($7.77 billion) of revenue from software and information technology services during the first 11 months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 25.8 percent.

Amid the novel coronavirus outbreak, Guizhou achieved great successes in integrating big data with industries. It established a health QR code system in one week and realized national data sharing. By Dec 24, the system had more than 40.26 million registered users and 3.53 billion views.

This year, Guizhou constructed 101 big data integration pilot projects and 1,065 demonstration projects, helping 2,041 companies realize in-depth big data integration and 20,831 companies use cloud services.

So far, Apple, Huawei and Tencent's data centers have been put into operation in the province, along with Huawei's Kunpeng ecosystem innovation center and People's Bank of China's data center. Guizhou's official online e-commerce platform has completed 3 billion yuan in transactions since it launched in July.

Guizhou has also been selected as one of China's nine pilot areas for data management maturity assessment and connected its industrial internet identifier resolution secondary nodes with top national nodes.
