Guizhou to have 50 intelligent coal mines by 2025

In 2020, Southwest China's Guizhou province realized 100 percent coverage of mechanized coal mining and the intelligent assistance system at all its coal mines in production.

Guizhou will focus on boosting the safe, green, intelligent and high-efficiency development of coal mines. In 2025, Guizhou province will produce 250 million metric tons of coal per year and establish 50 smart coal mines.

Guizhou will build an intelligent innovation platform to encourage the application of more technological equipment at coal mines. The province will support the coal mining technology industrial chain's development by creating intelligent coal mining equipment and robots.

By 2025, outburst prevention robots will be widely applied at Guizhou's coal mines, and 10 mine rescue centers will be equipped with rescue robots.
