Southwest China's Guizhou province showcased the latest big data achievements during the World Internet Conference & Light of the Internet Expo held on Nov 23-24 in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province.
Southwest China's Guizhou province recently issued guidelines for the integration of big data and the real economy -- the first of its kind in China.
In recent years, Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – has provided poverty alleviation assistance to 13 impoverished counties in the province which has helped lift 510,000 people out of poverty.
At the 2020 China Hi-tech Fair held on Nov 11-15 in Shenzhen, in South China's Guangdong province, Southwest China's Guizhou province brought over 100 high-tech projects from 50 high-tech-related companies, universities, institutions and innovation platforms.
According to Guiyang customs, during the first 10 months of this year, Southwest China's Guizhou province achieved 43.3 billion yuan ($6.58 billion) of import and export value, a year-on-year increase of 21.3 percent, which ranks second in China.
During this year's Double Eleven shopping festival, online shopping website Tmall achieved a total transaction amount of 372.3 billion yuan ($56.66 billion).
At an economic and trade exchange conference held by Southwest China's Guizhou province during the third China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is ongoing in Shanghai on Nov 5-10, the province invited more domestic and international companies to do business in Guizhou.
